IMPROV COMEDY IN MARCH AT THE CHERRY THEATER

Quick wit will turn audience suggestions into lots of laughs and fun when the Mirth’O’Matics take the stage at the Cherry Center in Carmel on Friday and Saturday, tMarch 7 and 8.

Fresh from their successful 2014 debut show at the Green Chalk Gallery, the Mirthers bring their spontaneous creativity to life from word one. Upon taking the stage they greet the audience and ask for a word. Without missing a beat, they immediately begin s series of scenes inspired by the word. Gerry Orton, the troupe’s director explained the quickened pace adds more energy to the performance. “We’re off and improvising within the first few minutes of the show,” said Orton. Reporting that they have received
positive feedback about the quicker pace, Orton added, “The audience gets what we’re doing without a lot of pre-scene explanations, so let the show begin. We’re ready to go.”

Scenes, theater games similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway, and improvised songs are all part of the recipe that gives the audience a laugh filled evening. And who doesn’t enjoy that?

The Cherry Center For The Arts is located at 4th and Guadalupe in Carmel. Curtain time is 7:30pm for both the Friday and Saturday, Mar 7 and 8 shows. Tickets are available on line at http://www.carlcherrycenter.org . Tickets will also be available at the door which opens at 7pm General Admission is $15, (Students: $12)
