TONIGHT
Friday, September 14, 7pm
Monterey Peninsula College (MPC)
More details to come.

Women of Whimsy and the Mirth O Matics will again take the stage to help raise funds for YWCA Monterey County.  Following up on their successful 2011 benefit show, the Monterey Improvisers promise another evening of fun and laughs in support of a great cause.

YWCA Monterey County’s mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. We provide safe places for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advocate for women’s rights and civil rights in Congress. Women come to us in times of crisis, as survivors of rape or domestic violence. They come for job training and career counseling. They come for a variety of reasons. But they come. And they leave with a renewed spirit, new skills, and stronger lives.

Mom entertained for a private show for Community College Catalyst intern alums and Salinas/Monterey notables in mid May.   Held at the Steinbeck House in Salinas, the special event was in honor of Valencia de la Vega, a nuclear engineering major from West Point, a former Army Captain who jumped out of planes in Afghanistan, currently an engineer at Intel and oh by the way is the reigning Ms Latina World.

Jason LeVeque
Jason came to theatre late in life. Waiting until he was 4 years old, his first role was the King in a Missoula Children’s Theater production of Cinderella.  That experience unleashed a lifetime of thespian-ism.  Jason has played many roles but improv kept calling, and luckily for The Mirth’O’Matics, it wasn’t the wrong number.   While living in Santa Rosa, Jason perfomed with Santa Rosa’s “Clueless Comedy Company.”   Now back in Monterey, Jason is happy to be improvising with The Mirth’O’Matics, and as much fun as it is to behold, being on stage is where the real fun is happening.
